Progress of interior work

 When I gazed blankly at the miniature house, I feel that there is a world there that brings me peace, just as I did when I was a child.

 There is a world without war, without tax payments, there is wonderful  greenery and flowers, gentle breeze. It seems to be a peaceful world that is simply beautiful.

 I'll post a few photos, but none of the rooms are finished yet. I still need to tile around the gas stove in the kitchen, and I'm planning to tile the bathroom floor as well.

This house has one guest room, has a balcony. Your heart can come and stay here whenever you like. ( The ceiling isn't finished yet, and we're still figuring out the lighting.

I'm in the process of making the walls between the attic and the roof.

Go through the stairs

 Hello Dear , I hope you're well.

 I'm still obsessed with making miniature house. The third floor was completed.

I checked often , If there's enough space to actually climb stairs or walk through hallways..  It is a little too tight for him, but he was okay.

None of the rooms are fully finished yet, but we plan to build the attic this month.

These two look happy that it makes me chuckle.

The small house

 

If listening to these conversations, people would think we were building a new house.

New house is true, but this is a little mouse's house. It's a miniature house, if you will.

I wanted to use this case, It was made by my grandfather and used by my grandmother to display dolls. 

Space is limited, and we're beginners.

Fortunately, Parts such as windows and doors are sold, so all you have to do is build it however you like, but even though it's a miniature, it still takes money and time.

Paint the color as you like.

But, I was a bit feeling something here. I live in a country house and why am building a new country house.

Anyways, It will take a few more months to complete. 

And It will likely be three stories tall.

I really like this photo. If you look through the window in the kitchen, you can see Mr. mouse and a baby.

The exterior walls and windows are not yet complete, but it's fun to peek at them through the windows.

Make a Harrold

 It is the first time that I make a doll. Its face by sticking a fleece into the felt fabric with a needle. I thought it was difficult, but no. It was easier than knitting a sweater.

初めて「人形を作る」ということをしました。フエルトに羊毛を針で刺して顔を造ったんですが、もっと難しいかと思っていました。実際はセーターを編むより簡単だった。

ハロルドのお髭に主人の釣り糸を使いました。なぜかクセがついて、それがリアルな感じがするのか、うちの猫ちゃんは思わず後ずさり。

I used a fishing line for him whiskers. It may look more realistic ? because my cat is scared to him.

 

This is the original Harrold that design by Jan Horrox. I wanted to make the exact same doll.

But, My Harrold is a completely different atmosphere. The neck is thick and the shirt does not close. 

なんだろう、人形作りは個性が出るのか、全然ちがう感じに。首も太すぎてボタンがしまらなかった。

最初は誰か子供にあげようと思っていたんですが、全て手縫いでくっついてるので、たぶん乱暴に扱うとすぐ腕とか取れたり、毛がぼさぼさになったりしそうで、いちいち直す方も大変だろうと、結局うちにいてもらうことになりました。

I was thinking of giving the doll to someone, children in the neighborhood or friends. But he is delicate. Hand-sewn limbs will easily come off. It's hard for moms to fix it in a busy day.

So, he decided to live in our home.

なぜだろう、椅子に座らせると「お茶くれ！」って言われている気がする。

Sit him in a chair. 

I feel like he is saying  " Give me some tea ! 

Happy punching !

I bought a punch needle from USA. It is not fun that the shipping cost to Japan was more expensive than the needle. But It was a LOT of fun to punching and I got my favorite work !

It is difficult to decide the design. You need to skip something on the drew. because we can not divide color freely like a paint. This uses wool. Yarn color is limited.

　アメリカからパンチニードルを買ってやってみました。毛糸を通してブスブス刺すだけでできるようなのです。しかし、私が買った針が１０番っていうのが大きすぎたのか、または生地が見えないくらいに刺しまくったせいか、何しろけっこうハードな手仕事でした。出来上がってみるととても気に入ったので良かったですが。

　唯一、難しいなと思うのはデザインを決めるところ。毛糸の色は限られているので、使える色から絵を決める必要があります。絵の具のように色を自由に使えないということは、影を出したいなーとかが出来ない。逆に絵を描くのが苦手な人には簡単にできるかもしれませんね。

My work is densely woven yarns. It pushed much, so it was hard. I used needle No,10. but I don't know what number is best for you. I will buy other sizes.

A mitten

I have got 2 colors of soft fiber. It was only 100 grams, but I spun for knit something.

The left is a fiber for practice. The center and the right bought newly.

 Even the same white is a little different in color....

　２色の柔らかい羊毛を紡いで毛糸を１つ作りました。

これはイギリスから届きましたが、羊の種類が書いてなくて質問もしなかったので、この柔らかさは何にあたるのか今になって気になります。

And 2 colors were 1 of yarn !

I moved to this house last year. Here is away from the center of Tokyo. 

It's cool for the severe heat of the summer in the room at a well ventilated house. A forest is close, the wind is also cold and pleasant. 

去年この家に越してきましたが、とても涼しい家で過ごしやすいです。都心から離れていて不便な場所ですが、風通しが非常によく気流ができて寒いくらいです。

森が近いせいか冷たい風も流れてきて、うちの猫ちゃんもベランダで昼寝がお気に入りです。

こうして夏でも羊毛を触れるという喜び。立地条件や住宅設計でこんなにも風の通りが違うのですね。そのうち私たちも家を持ちたいので、こんなふうに風通しの良い家がほしいものです。

I can't know whether you can imagine, but Summer of the south Japan is too hot including Tokyo. A person dies for its heat. 

It becomes so cool that you go to the north in Japan. but there are a lot of fun Shop in Tokyo and Kyoto,Osaka on the south side.

If you come to Japan someday, I wish that you choose good seasons.

There is a kitty under the table

And I have finished knitting a mitten !!

I counted many times, but I don't make a mistake in stitch. 

A clumsy mitten was made because my yarn was clumsy.  What delight !

I have to practice more :) 

　そうして、指なし手袋ができあがりました！まるで段や目を間違えているようにイビツなので何度か数えましたが、左右が違うように見える原因は私の毛糸です。ときどき極細、または極太、並太または極端に手縫い糸のようなサイズ不明な糸により、このような不格好な手袋ができてしまいました。。

編み物を目的として紡ぐ以上、サイズは命。やはり均一な毛糸が紡げるようになりたいです。

日々練習を怠らないようにしなくては、、

といってもやはり最初の作品！嬉しさでニマニマしておりまス
