Second Ribbed Cardigan

 Hello, The cardigan I knitted in January and wore in February was so comfortable that I wore it almost every day. So, I knitted a second one.

 I used rustic, undyed camel yarn. I'm sure I'll wear this one every day too.

 I like to use a circular needle for the sleeves. 

And the pocket , using scrap yarn and then set aside. After knitted front body, 20 stitches are pick up and knit.

Ribbed Cardigan

 To be honest, I was very bored while knitting this plain cardigan.

But, It is very stretchy and comfortable to wear .

Here is the east side of the garden.

It's good to knit it when you can't decide what to knit next or between projects.

The Pattern from vintage knitting book around 1940.  I omitted "side shapings" .

　I made snow big bear. But, It was pecked by birds immediately . Because I used seeds in eyes and nostrils... !!

Cardigan-coat

 I always regret why not knitting in the summer ? Anyways The cardigan is finished knitting.

 I'm happy to put a new knitwear for new year ( I also sewed the inside dress.) 

I knitted the sleeves to be about 18 inches. The pattern instructions said it was 22 inches long, which is too long for me.　There are no armholes, so adjusting the size was not difficult.

It's a plastic button with knitted cover.

It used 5 of "Beiroa DK yarn and 1 "mondim 4ply yarn.

Lined mittens

 Hello, Did you enjoy your summer vacation ?  It's been awfully hot here with very little rain. Then, Finally cooler here too. I miss the wood fire and frost...!!

I spun some yarn during the summer, 

and knitted mittens for my husband's birthday.

 Unfortunately, the left and right of these mittens are different colors. This is because I grabbed the fleece without thinking.  Although, this is from the same , one sheep's  fleece, and it's a natural gradation.

To increase the warmth, I also knitted a lining. Picked up the same number of stitches and knitted everything except the thumb, completely covering the body of mitten.

Why I didn't notice that we can knit and read at the same time.

Every year I bake a sponge cake with decoration, The year before last it was raspberry with pink cream , last year it was chocolate cream, and this year I chose muscat and simple cream. It was delicious. Anyways my husband was delighted with the warmly gift.

There was something that bothered me a little. To take my mind off, I kept knitting. I finished knitting one sweater, and was able to stay calm. 

By the way, I didn't expect the sweater to be such a classic style. It's would look good with a pearl necklace. 

The most time-consuming part of vintage patterns is adjusting the size, I think. If we can get the specified yarn, maybe that would be less of a problem. In my case, I knit the armholes smaller by changing them quite a bit. 

The yarn " Mondim color no, A586. 2 and 1/2skeins. 

The skirt is the same pattern " Simplicity 1688" as the previous skirt ( of bottle sweater )

The sweater was nice in my eyes like a lot of bottles in. 

High waist, and buttons on the shoulders. The 12th row was difficult until I got used to it. 

Overall, there is not enough hot iron, but it's ok.

Easy make a Cable needle

Luckily, I found a branch that was just the right size, that after my stupid goat ate the bark of the branch. Look it, One is DK size, the other is sport yarn size.

It's very useful !! 

But, as you can see, it is difficult to use just by cutting the branches, and the ends must be sharpened.

If you look, will also find a good branch. (Don't forget to peel the branches)

Dog's blanket : granny square patt

 I knitted a new blanket for my dog.

The good point about this pattern is that it uses a lot of yarn. You can use up all the leftover yarn or yarn that only weighs 100g.

This was double knitted with acrylic and wool yarn.

Of course, you can make it bigger with your favorite color.

Vertical stripe cardigan

 

Are you enjoying summer break ? We can't go on a trip because of pets. It's very shame, but I want my dog, cats, chicken and goats to live long　:) 

By the ways, I have finished crocheting the beautiful summer cardigan. It looks chilly and it actually is cool to wear, the heat through the lace holes.  

Where I failed was used summer yarn of cotton and linen. The cardigan is stiff and doesn't stretch, tight around the bust and shoulders.

Writ down that I don't forget. Using summer yarn is a good idea, but use a yarn with some stretch, or choice one size up.
