Wendy sweater with patt.

There was something that bothered me a little. To take my mind off, I kept knitting. I finished knitting one sweater, and was able to stay calm. 

By the way, I didn't expect the sweater to be such a classic style. It's would look good with a pearl necklace. 

The most time-consuming part of vintage patterns is adjusting the size, I think. If we can get the specified yarn, maybe that would be less of a problem. In my case, I knit the armholes smaller by changing them quite a bit. 

The yarn " Mondim color no, A586. 2 and 1/2skeins. 

The skirt is the same pattern " Simplicity 1688" as the previous skirt ( of bottle sweater )

The sweater was nice in my eyes like a lot of bottles in. 

High waist, and buttons on the shoulders. The 12th row was difficult until I got used to it. 

Overall, there is not enough hot iron, but it's ok.

Easy make a Cable needle

Luckily, I found a branch that was just the right size, that after my stupid goat ate the bark of the branch. Look it, One is DK size, the other is sport yarn size.

It's very useful !! 

But, as you can see, it is difficult to use just by cutting the branches, and the ends must be sharpened.

If you look, will also find a good branch. (Don't forget to peel the branches)

Dog's blanket : granny square patt

 I knitted a new blanket for my dog.

The good point about this pattern is that it uses a lot of yarn. You can use up all the leftover yarn or yarn that only weighs 100g.

This was double knitted with acrylic and wool yarn.

Of course, you can make it bigger with your favorite color.

Vertical stripe cardigan

 

Are you enjoying summer break ? We can't go on a trip because of pets. It's very shame, but I want my dog, cats, chicken and goats to live long　:) 

By the ways, I have finished crocheting the beautiful summer cardigan. It looks chilly and it actually is cool to wear, the heat through the lace holes.  

Where I failed was used summer yarn of cotton and linen. The cardigan is stiff and doesn't stretch, tight around the bust and shoulders.

Writ down that I don't forget. Using summer yarn is a good idea, but use a yarn with some stretch, or choice one size up. 

This was a vintage pattern. 

Mixed color simple dress

 I had a lot of yarn left over from knitted socks. Then I knitted a dress with them, instead of knitting socks over and over again, I used 700g of scraps yarn. And now the basket full of scraps is clean out. 

I see everything tired my socks, rather than a new dress ....

One thing is for sure, that dress is so warm I don't want to take it off :)

I used Paton's pattern from 70's as a reference at first, but it was mostly useless, I did the calculations myself.  I started to knit the hem of skirt, but it's better to start knit from top to down. The skirt is slightly A-line . 

 

Ricas hat

  Hello dear friend, are you feeling comfortable in something warm that you knitted ??  :)

 I'm knitting a dress with many of scrap yarn now ( those are left after knitting socks ) It is all stocking stitch, I feels endlessly long that work... Then I knitted this lovely easy hat like to take a short break.

 Mine was a kit ( including project bag, pattern, 3 yarns, Dark purple, peal orange, and milk tea ?) from Retrosaria. 

　It's a hat for husband, but if he doesn't use it, I'll wear it, oh yes :)) and it will keep me warm even on freezing mornings.

　何か編んだもので暖かくお過ごしでしょうか(^^)　私の方は靴下を編んだ後のあまり糸で、ずーっとメリヤス編みのワンピースを編んでいます。なんとなくわかると思いますけど、えらく長く感じます。それで、ちょっと休憩にと帽子を編みました。これはキットになって販売されていたのですが、日本でも販売があるといいですね。パターンはネットで購入できとても簡単なのでおすすめです。私は雑用があって２日かかりましたが、１日自由時間があったら１日かからず終わるんじゃ、、、初心者むけですので英文に挑戦してみたい方もぜひどうぞ！

Vintage Emu Blouse no. 337

      Needle size UK12, and 11 .

It took me about 2 months to actually knit this one. It lace but wasn't that difficult. 

The blouse is beautiful and there is no mistake if you follow the instructions. but I wanted to omit the sewing process. So the stitch number are matched before sewing yoke together with the front and back body. 

The same reason, about the sleeve cuff, Used a circle. CO,96 stiches ( for bust 33 ins.) and knit K1, P1, rib for 1 inch with loop them. Increase stitches in next row, before starting lace pattern. ( my note written 110 sts. Increased 14 sts. and lace start with circle needle)

I think, a longer length would be more beautiful for tying the collar ribbon. Anyways I'm very pleased with it :) I hope that you find the pattern. 

　とても素敵なセーターを編みました。この時代のは手間を惜しまないのですね。ヨークとカフだけ、縫い合わせる工程を省略するために、ステッチの数をあえて合わせて減らしたり増やしたりしました。パターン通りに編む方が間違いがないですしキレイです。でも慣れた方は、もっと省略できるかもしれません。

追記：編み図は英語で有料でダウンロードやっていたのですが、やめてしまったかもしれません。

Blue sweater

I have finished knitting husband's blue sweater. 

Does your lover or family ask questions when you knit something ? 

 I would be happy if that question was asked sometimes, of course. But, roughly every day, my husband ask me so often. To be honest, I was annoyed of hearing that question. I didn't understand why. 

One day, I found these sentences in the book. 

" When a man watches a women knitting he feels shut out. She is absorbed by an occupation he cannot share. She is in a sanctuary where he cannot follow. " from people knitting

I was surprised, I didn't know he felt like this. Anyways, After reading it He never asked again... I have mixed feelings. 

 主人の青いセーターが編み終わりました。家族や恋人からよく「何を編んでいるの？」と質問されることはありませんか？時々ならもちろん嬉しいけれど、うちの主人は毎日のように聞いてきます。正直いってウンザリしておりました。ある時、本の中にちょっとした文章を見つけました。「男性が編み物をしている女性を見ているとき、閉め出されたように感じます。彼女は彼とは決して共有できない何かに夢中になっている。彼女は彼が追うことができない聖域にいます。」こうゆう感じか？と尋ねるとどうもそのようなので、ちょっとビックリしました。しかも、それ以来ひつこく聞かなくなりました。まあ良かったのか何なのか、、

Pretty lace wrap

 I'm pleasure to show you this lovely lace shrug that I took time for five months. You know my poor English, I made mistakes and knit the right side 3 times.

まあ５カ月もかかった肩掛けが終わりまして、こうして無事に見せられてよかったです。間違えて編み続けていて、ほどいたりして３回も右側を編みました。前のショールのような部分は後ろで結んだり前で結んだりしてもいいのです。海の向こうの友達が送ってくれた毛糸だったので、何か特別なものにしたいと思ってました。綺麗なものが編めてよかったです。やってみたい方は左側から編み始めるとわかりやすいと思います。ワンピースも縫いました。

Socks for hard-wearing

 These socks look ordinary socks, but its heels are using wool double. Therefore it's strong, still fit and no sagging around the ankles. Ideal for people who move around or walks all over even in cold frosty day. 

Such a good idea, my hubby's socks always are soggy. I knitted them and used socks yarn with 2mm needles. Knit repeats K1, SL1 on RS row of the heel, become so hard, my favorites wooden needle BROKE.. You see, you use stainless needle than wood or bamboo for knitting heel parts with double wool.

I didn't double the toes. 

The pattern is from family knitting book of 1930s. I think, heel decreasing point have mistake. Anyways, knit it with your own way. 

　普通の靴下に見えますが、かかとの所だけ２本どりになっています。そうすることで硬くなり、足首にたゆみがなく適度にフィットしているわけです。真冬でもよく動き回ったりたくさん歩く方に適しています。うちの主人のはどんなに小さく編んでも伸びてすぐ脱げるので、これはなんて良いアイデアだろうと思いました。私が使ったのは通常の靴下用の毛糸に２ミリの針でした、かかと部分２本どりすると厚みが出ますので、表編み１目、スリップ１目を表で繰り返して、裏でスリップしたところ表編みして一見ゴム編みしているように見えます。とても固くなりますので、ステンレスの針を使うようにしてください、木製でやっていたら折れてしまいました。つま先は普通に編んでしまいましたが２本どりする場合は模様を続けながら減らしてください。

編み図は1930年代の家族の編み物からです。かかとの減目が間違っているように感じるので、通常通りご自身のいつものやり方でやってください、中心に19目残ればよいのです。
