First strawberry

When I had time, I was doing knitting. but after moving to the countryside, I am gardening very much. 
Japan has much rain compared to Europe ( I have only lived in Japan and Europe, so I don't know other countries) Therefore, the grass grows faster.

　東京にいた時は時間があれば編みものをしていましたが、今は庭仕事ばかりしています。庭というのは広ければ良いというものでもなくて、ちょっとあれば良いいのかもしれません。近所でも農家の人は庭師を頼んでいて、びっくりするような金額ですが、仕事はさすがに完璧です。春は見事に咲く庭木を一本は持っていて、田舎の庭は本当に綺麗です。

Farmers come to see our garden from time to time. County garden is large, many of them hire gardener. Professional job is really perfect.

I bought this strawberry in Tokyo . it was a very small planting strawberry and never made berry in the balcony of Tokyo.  
But it increased a lot since I planted in the soil of garden. 

simple pleasure 

 この苺は、東京のホームセンターで売っていた小さな苗でした。当時は肥料やったり日当たりを気にしても、ベランダでは決して実をつけなかった、花をつけても苺にはならなかった残念な苗でした。
越してすぐ土に下ろしてあげたら、１年で猛烈に増えて、今年なんとカゴいっぱい取れました。

But We need to improve the soil. because it is very sour 

庭から摘んだイチゴでジャムを作る　というシンプルな事に喜び、甘い香りに満たされます。

Green Cardigan

I bought this yarn for bargain sale at craft shop "Yuzawaya" in Tokyo.  

Gradients are lively(?) shades. so, I knit simple design.

この毛糸はユザワヤの冬のセールで購入しました。賑やかな色なのでシンプルなカーディガンにしました。

あちこち行く時に持って行きましたが、つい編みすぎてしまい、しかも滅多な事では直さないので、ポケットがだいぶ下になってしまいました。でもポケットがあると便利ですね。

Buttons are also simple. 

My pocket was too low... but

I promote you to put pocket, it is very convenient. 

I sewed this dress with embroidery. It's a warm linen ( of Japanese fabric ) 

刺繍入りワンピースも手作りです。残った毛糸は靴下になりましたヨ

And Remaining yarn became socks :)

Happy punching !

I bought a punch needle from USA. It is not fun that the shipping cost to Japan was more expensive than the needle. But It was a LOT of fun to punching and I got my favorite work !

It is difficult to decide the design. You need to skip something on the drew. because we can not divide color freely like a paint. This uses wool. Yarn color is limited.

　アメリカからパンチニードルを買ってやってみました。毛糸を通してブスブス刺すだけでできるようなのです。しかし、私が買った針が１０番っていうのが大きすぎたのか、または生地が見えないくらいに刺しまくったせいか、何しろけっこうハードな手仕事でした。出来上がってみるととても気に入ったので良かったですが。

　唯一、難しいなと思うのはデザインを決めるところ。毛糸の色は限られているので、使える色から絵を決める必要があります。絵の具のように色を自由に使えないということは、影を出したいなーとかが出来ない。逆に絵を描くのが苦手な人には簡単にできるかもしれませんね。

and my first work is done :)

My work is densely woven yarns. It pushed much, so it was hard. I used needle No,10. but I don't know what number is best for you. I will buy other sizes.

Long shawl of Mohair

I like this long shawl with 2 colors. There is an image of a woman working in the city.

CO 50 sts, ST st only. 
No blocking for enjoy natural drape.

２色のマフラーは都会でバリバリ働く女性のイメージです。実際に見るとけっこうかっこよく仕上がっています。

使ったのは「アデルズモヘア」、色が「タバコ」と「チャコール」各２玉ずつ。棒針１５号。作り目が５０、あとはひたすらメリヤス編みのみです。ブロッキングはせず、コロンと自然にまくるなるのを楽しんでください。
お好きな一色で編むのもいいと思いますが、幅は５０目くらいはやっぱりあった方が暖かくて良いと思います。
アデルズモヘアが手に入らない方は、普通のモヘアの２本取りで試して下さい。シンプルなのにふわふわ可愛いですヨ

Fleece cardigan

A few months after I started hand-spinning, I challenged a knitwear from fleece.

手紡ぎを初めて数ヶ月たった頃、初めて刈りたての羊毛からニットウェア作りに挑戦しました。これをやりたくて糸紡ぎを始めたようなものですが、洗うという作業が難しくて何度か失敗しました。強く洗うとフエルト化してしまうのは理解していましたが、しっかりゴシゴシ洗ってしまいたい性格なんでしょうか、コツがわかった今でも苦手。下の写真は洗ってあるもの

This is clean fleece.

Wash the fleece several times first. but  I repeated several times mistake. Because when washing strongly will result in carpet or a lag ! ( Felting, felt fleece lag ) It necessary to wash gently if we want to produce yarn.

And Hand spinning....., It is fun !

I left the characteristics of fleece. This kind of sheep is curly hair :)

この種類の羊は長い巻き毛なので、わざとそれを残すようにして紡ぎました。出来上がっていくのが感動的！

But It is a natural animal, The color of fleece is not all the same.
A little yellow, a little gray mixed in white.

お店で売っているような羊毛は例え自然色といっても似た色を集めて似た色におおまかに染めているそうです。本当の羊は一頭一頭　様々な色が混じっているので、このフリースも同じく真っ白にはならず、黄色や灰色が混ざった白になりました。

And done !

How warm it is !

I got this kind of fleece again this year. I'd like to make yarn and sell it. Yes, my goal this year is to have a small online shop. When my yarn is unsold, I will be able to knit something with them. Whichever it is, I am looking forward to it :)

それでも出来上がれば嬉しい！だいたい家の中のどこかの椅子やソファーに置いてあって膝にかけても良い暖かさ最強の１着です。
今年もこの羊毛を買って、すでに洗ってあるので紡ぎたいのですが、さらに今年はその毛糸を販売できたらなあと考えています。売れるのかな～と思いますが、売れなかった場合は、その毛糸で何か編むことができるわけで、それはそれで楽しみでありまス

Hooded jacket of sleeveless

 This is a long process that buying fiber from foreign country and spinning a wool and making a pattern and knitting a jacket. It takes time only, but it is also fun.

 At the same time I gained confidence that Even yarn spun by hand will be finished without problem in size.

毛糸を紡いでフード付きベストを編みました。

イギリスらしい色合いと暖かさです。模様もイングランドをイメージしました。

It began in September.

Fiber arrived from Dear England.

Knit the back first, and

Knit the front, connect from the neck up

knit a rib on sleeve and hood.　I finished knitting in December. 

I also sewed this dress. but This coordination is not cute. I think it goes well with jeans and sweaters.

羊毛を紡いで糸にしてさらにデザインを決めてパターンを作って編むというのは時間ばかりがかかりますが、特別な１着にはなります。

そして手紡ぎの腕もあがってきて良かったなというところ。作ったワンピースとコーデがなってないですが、普段はジーンズとセーターの上に着ていて、なかなか使える１枚です。
